Law of composition 집합 \(S\)에 대하여 \(S \times S\)에서 \(S\)로 가는 사상을 law of composition (of \(S\) into itself)라 한다. \(f:S \times S \rightarrow S\)와 \(x, y \in S\)에 대하여 \((x, y) \mapsto f(x, y)\)이다. law of composition의 성격에 따라 \(f(x, y)\) 대신 \(xy\), \(x \cdot y\) (product), \(x+y\) (additive / sum) 등을 사용하기도 한다. 지금부터는 편의상 \(xy\)의 표기법을 사용하기로 한다. Associativity \(S\)의 law of composition이 결합법칙을 만족한다는 것은 임의의..
